Lily Young is a PhD researcher at the Professorship for International Institutions and Peace Processes. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Politics and Economics from Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen with a semester at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Beppu, Japan. She holds a master’s degree in International Relations from TU Dresden. Previously, she worked as Blue Book Trainee at the European External Action Service and as a research associate at the Chair of European and Global Governance at TU Munich. From 2019-2022 she was a research associate at the Chair of International Relations with Lisbeth Zimmermann at Zeppelin University. She was a guest research at the Graduate School for Global and Transnational Studies (BGTS) in winter 2021/2022.
As research associate in the DFG-project “Open or closed contestation – conditions for policy change by civil society contestation” Lily Young analyzes international organizations’ reactions to contestation in th field of child labor. Her research interests include international organizations, interorganizational relations and knowledge.
