Dear students and graduates, dear teaching staff and employees, dear friends and followers of Frankfurt social sciences,
I am very pleased to welcome you to our association’s website! Since its inaugural meeting on 13 January 2010, the Alumni and Benefactors of Frankfurt Social Sciences have pursued the goal of promoting the activities of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt in the areas of social science education, training and research.
One of our main interests is actioning the transfer of knowledge between study-oriented and work-related practice. Our focus therefore lies on an exchange of experience and information between students, staff and alumni of the faculty. The association constitutes a network, within which there is scope for stimulating discussions, for example on the many and varied professional perspectives and experiences of social scientists, and it aims to support easier career entry or a career move into fields relevant to the social sciences. After all, our young academics are particularly close to our hearts.
Together, we would like to continue learning with and from each other and to stay connected. First of all, I wish you great fun discovering what’s on offer and the advantages of membership, and I am looking forward very much to your participation and our mutual exchange!
