Curriculum Vitae - Dr. habil. Cornelius Friesendorf

Cornelius Friesendorf is Head of the Centre for OSCE Research (CORE), Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH). Before joining the IFSH in March 2018 he worked as senior advisor for an EU police reform support project in Myanmar. From 2009 to 2017, he was a researcher at the Cluster of Excellence Normative Orders, Goethe University Frankfurt, and the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt. After studying political science in Göttingen, Bristol, London, and Berlin, he received his doctorate at the University of Zurich in 2006 and his Habilitation at Goethe University Frankfurt in 2017, with a thesis on military interventions (How Western Soldiers Fight: Organizational Routines in Multinational Missions, Cambridge University Press, 2018).
