Malte Althoff is doing his doctorate under Prof. Heather Hofmeister at Goethe University, where he also previously completed his master's degree in sociology. He is conducting ethnographic research in a socially segregated high-rise housing estate, where he also works as a social worker ("street worker") with disadvantaged youth. His research is supported by a PhD scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

Maximilian Becker worked as a Ph.D. student in sociology and a pre-doctoral researcher at Goethe University since February 2023. His research interests include work, gender and sexualities, qualitative methods and the sociological perspective on trust. He was recently working in a CLBO research project regarding trust in organizations and how different factors affect trust in leadership.

Constance Hsiung worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Sociology of Work at Goethe University, Frankfurt. She received her PhD from the University of Michigan (USA), and her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Chicago (USA).
Her research interests include the sociology of culture, work and leisure, and gender. Methodologically, her interests lie in clustering and historical approaches. She has worked with interview and archival data, as well as nationally representative survey data. Her work has been published in Gender & Society.
