Curriculum Vitae - Holger Marcks, M.A.

Holger Marcks was a Research Fellow on the DFG project “Transnational Escalation Mechanisms of Violent Dissidence” within the Chair for International Organizations at the Goethe University of Frankfurt from February 2013 to June 2018. He is particularly concerned with the transnational shaping of political violence in historical anarchism.

Prior to this, he studied Islamic Studies, Modern History and Sociology at the Free University of Berlin, where he graduated in 2011 with the thesis “’Green Capitalism’ in Germany? Economic Islam in the Context of Migrant Economics: A Macro-analytic Perspective”. Hehas also worked as a translator, journalist and writer, authoring works on the economic and European policy of the Orbán government in Hungary.
