The objective of the Visiting Professorship for
Critical Social Theory is to relay the historical
dimensions and current perspectives of critical social theory in the tradition
of the Frankfurt School within the teaching portfolio of the Faculty of Social
Sciences.
The visiting professorship was
awarded for one academic year at a time and for the last time in the 2019/2020
academic year after special funding ended (in cooperation with the Cluster of
Excellence Normative Orders).
