Im Rahmen der ERASMUS+-Kooperationspartnerschaft „EcoSocMan“ zwischen der Estonian University of Life Sciences in Tartu (Estland), der University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Tschechische Republik), der Université d'Aix-Marseille (Frankreich), der Universität Ulm (Deutschland), der Ukrainian National Forestry University in Lviv (Ukraine), der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main und dem Praxispartner simpleFilm (Deutschland) fand auch in diesem Jahr wieder eine transdisziplinäre Summer School statt. Vom 7. bis 19. September nahmen rund 30 Studierende aus allen teilnehmenden Ländern und Disziplinen teil, um im Grenzgebiet Bayerischer Wald–Šumava sowie in der südböhmischen Hauptstadt České Budějovice/Budweis Themen wie Waldentwicklung, Auswirkungen des Klimawandels, Landnutzung, Moor-Renaturierung, Borkenkäferbefall und dessen soziale, politische und ökonomische Effekte sowie ökologisches Wissen und dessen Zirkulation in den sozialen Medien zu bearbeiten. Neben den Exkursionen bestand zudem die Möglichkeit, das Erlebte in spezifischen Workshops zu vertiefen. Ein Highlight der Summer School war die Vorstellung der Gruppenarbeiten in Form thematischer Kurzfilme, die die Studierenden selbst geplant, bearbeitet, geschnitten und fertiggestellt haben. Damit wurden zwei der wichtigsten Ziele des Kooperationsprojekts erfolgreich umgesetzt: das Bewusstmachen lokaler Klimawandeleffekte und das Aktivwerden gegen Falschinformationen.

As part of the ERASMUS+ cooperation partnership 'EcoSocMan' between the Estonian University of Life Sciences in Tartu (Estonia), the University of South Bohemia in Budweis (Czech Republic), the Université d'Aix-Marseille (France), the University of Ulm (Germany), the Ukrainian National Forestry University in Lviv (Ukraine), Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and the practice partner simpleFilm (Germany), our transdisciplinary summer school took place again this year. From 7th to 19th September, around 30 students from all participating countries and disciplines visited the Bavarian Forest–Šumava border region and in the South Bohemian capital of Budweis/České Budějovice to address topics such as forest development, the effects of climate change, land use, wetland restoration, bark beetle infestation and its social, political and economic effects, as well as ecological knowledge and its circulation in social media. In addition to the excursions, there was also the opportunity to deepen the experiences in specific workshops. A highlight of the summer school was the presentation of the group work in the form of short thematic films, which the students planned, edited, cut and completed themselves. This successfully achieved two of the most important goals of the cooperation project: raising awareness of local climate change effects and taking action against misinformation.
