(summa cum laude). 2002-2008 wissenschaftlicher Assistent (C1) an der Professur für Finanzwissenschaft und Finanzsoziologie der Universität Erfurt, dort 2008 staatswissenschaftliche Habilitation. Internationale Forschungsaufenthalte am Berkeley Center of Law, Business and the Economy der University of California at Berkeley sowie am Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapur. Internationale Lehraufträge an der Lettischen Universität Riga sowie der Grenoble School of Management. 2008-2009 Professor für Politische Ökonomie an der Jacobs University Bremen. Seit 2009 Inhaber der Professur für Politische Ökonomie und Wirtschaftssoziologie an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
